Sunnies Specs has an in-store cafe and we’re obsessed with it

Getting prescription glasses is not the most relaxing situation. Oftentimes, checkup stations are quite packed with busy people. It urges you to think on your feet. And after the eye check-up, you may have to wait for hours, maybe even days. The drama of it all is mundane and exhausting.

Good thing Sunnies Specs Optical isn’t like that at all. Tucked in SM Southmall in Las Piñas, Sunnies Studios has an optical clinic that can give you a good pair of specs and a cup of coffee to kick it back with too. That’s because the optical clinic has an in-house cafe called Cup Point. Don’t know about you, but they had me with coffee and a 20/20 vision.

Cup Point’s concept is inspired by clothing stores in Japan and Korea that doubles as a cafe too. So in Sunnies’ optical clinic, you have a place to chill while you wait for your appointment or your indecisive friend who’s shopping for summer shades. Go figure.

Aside from being a convenient spot to unwind, Cup Point might just be the next go-to for students and young go-getters who are always on their laptops. Need a good place for brainstorming sesh? Need a place to cry over your thesis? This cafe can be your saving grace with its ambiance, its productive vibe, the multiple sockets, and the glorious coffee smell.

Cup Point’s drinks can fuel your brain power or get you to a calm center of your mind. From espresso-based drinks to milkshakes, from matcha to their signature Honey drink, this cafe surely knows what’s up.

So the next time you see their cute LED-lit logo against peach backdrops: Do what you gotta do. Whether it’s to get a good cup of coffee or a good pair of shades, Sunnies Specs Optical will come through for you.
