Get get, aww: the Sexbomb Girls reunited for a ‘Daisy Siete’ cover to raise COVID-19 relief funds

EB Babes who? No, we are born and raised by our mothers—Sexbomb Girls. And they have a surprise for us during this ECQ.  Our childhood icons Sexbomb came back for a one night only performance of “Daisy Siete.”

The girl group made a socially distanced comeback to both catch up with and encourage fans to contribute to COVID-19 relief funds. Those who joined the meetup were the original 2002 Sexbomb Girls Rochelle, Weng, Yvette, Jopay, Izzy and Monic.

To make things sweeter, they performed a rousing rendition of “Daisy Siete,” the 2003 telenovela they featured in. The group also gave updates on their lives, from their education (Yvette graduated from an accounting and payroll degree) to motherhood (Izzy’s kids are taking online ballet classes and that’s adorable AF).

The group also emphasized the importance of staying quarantined at home and sharing whatever we can spare to aid efforts against the virus. “[Para sa] mga hindi na umuuwi ng bahay, ’yung mga nag-sestay sa ospital para lang labanan ’yung COVID-19. ’Yung maitutulong lang naman natin bukod sa fundraising ay pag-stay naman talaga sa bahay. Malaking tulong na ’yun,” says Rochelle.

The best news is, the title of the 37-minute video indicated that it was just part one of the reunion. For the next, can we petition for an official dance tutorial of “Bakit Papa”?
