Less than a month after Boy Pablo’s “Hey Girl” hit streaming sites, its visual counterpart has finally blessed our screens. Is this what you expected it to be? I don’t know about you but this looks like one heck of a treat.
Released Jun. 17, the music video introduces Boy Pablo as Wachito Rico, who apparently isn’t aware that he would get his meet-cute at today’s soccer match. From this point onwards, new characters like John (his friend), Nacho (his enemy) and Sofia (his love interest) unlock one by one, thanks to the omnipresent narrator that sounds like a tongue-in-cheek PSA of course.
It’s warm and honest with a shot by the pier completing the aesthetic of a Boy Pablo MV. “Hey girl, I’m so nervous. You look so fine, you make me shiver like crazy,” he sings, adding more volume to this soccer short we never knew we needed.
