Leave that ’80s comeback ’do just in time for the New Year. Whatever bottled-up angst or punk dreams you’ve been carrying for the longest time, your hairstyle choices do not necessarily bear the coolness you think they exude when they first came out. A forecast for you, nonetheless: ’90s spiky, icy tips before anyone starts to sport them… again. *wink*
Microbags
Yeah, we’ve practically seen it everywhere from Jacquemus to Hermes, Medea to Valentino but (literally) that lil’ thing’s too impractical. With the usual routine we’ve come to embrace when going out and about, we need bigger, more practical options.
Neon green
Though Billie Eilish may have nailed it in her day-to-day paparazzi snaps, don’t you think the color overstayed its invite this year? Seen on hair dyes, dresses and bags, the striking color doesn’t have to be slapped on everything. Don’t laud Pantone’s two new colors of the year either. Maybe it’s time to find other color palettes to stick with, and far from the crowd.
Distressed jeans
We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again—drop the ripped jeans. Is it a bold fashion choice? Nah, more like dowdy. That being said, I would like to solemnly hand it over to 2020 (or 2019), your honor.
Expensive-ass slides
Definitely not an overreaction, but if your slides cost more than a good pair of shoes then it’s definitely a no for me—ever. I mean, why would you even spend on a pricey, rubber sandal if you could, say, buy a strapping shoe that remains iconic?
