If Rihanna’s new Anti album has taught us anything, it’s that the singer believes in the power of work. The singer launched a new scholarship program under her Clara Lionel Foundation, which promises to provide scholarships to college students that are in need of financial aid.

The new program will grant scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 to International and US students who have been admitted to a US-based college. Though to be eligible, students have to be a resident of the United States, Barbados, Cuba, Brazil, Jamaica, Guyana, or Haiti.

According to USA College Today, Rihanna was thrilled to be giving back to students that need it. “To be able to give the gift of an education is actually an honor. Higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this.”

In the video below, Rihanna shares her vision behind the foundation.
