Attention, risograph enthusiasts: Enrollment is ongoing once again at Bad Student’s (virtual) school. For the second leg of their After School Program, Pau Tiu and Dyam Gonzales are presenting a bomb lineup of visual artists, illustrators and photographers ready to bring us the A to Zs of the art of riso.

For a week via Zoom, Bad Student will hold intensive workshops inclusive of materials, a guide book and  membership to their official Riso Club on Facebook. On Dec. 11, Jill Arteche, Kita and Soleil Ignacio will lead the two-color risograph workshop, which is perfect for beginners. If you’re a storyteller itching to make riso zines, let Elle Shivers, Ev Yu and Nina Martinez guide you through it via their class on Dec. 12.

Meanwhile, if a four-color risograph workshop is your next step, just ask Betsy Cola, Gianne Encarnacion and Raxenne Maniquiz on Dec. 18. Lastly, Cru Camara, Regine David and Renzo Navarro will teach at the faux-CMYK session—specifically designed for photographers and visual artists curious about the riso-printing process.

Each class is priced  at P3,000. Bad Student’s After School Program II: Open Classroom will help build its  studio, one of the casualties of Typhoon Ulysses. If you’ve already contributed to Bad Student’s fundraiser, you can email them a screenshot of your donation and they’ll deduct that amount from your workshop fee. (It comes with a zine, too.)

“We will guide you from start to finish and help you actualize your imagination in the form of a Riso print,” Bad Student tells its would-be students. Registration ends on Dec. 8, 2020.
