If you’re a clueless millennial like me, chances are this is the first time you’ve heard of the National Library. Well today’s our lucky day, because now The National Library announced on Facebook that they’re making their library card (that comes with a small fee) optional for those who want to check their collections out. You just have to show your ID, and voila, you can get your hands on a wide collection of their materials, including a Filipiniana section, Multimedia section, and Children’s section.

The National Library is open 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. Tucked in at T.M. Kalaw Street at Ermita the National Library is currently undergoing changes. The building is currently being retrofitted, and it’s safe to say that after they’re finished the library will introduce more changes to the future. Thank you Facebook for letting us know the National Library exists and thank you National Library in advance for giving us access to library materials we sorely need. Also, a library date is long overdue.
