While Netflix’s live-action “Death Note” left a bad taste for fans, the manga’s out to remind you about the reasons why this series is an anime favorite. Following an announcement from creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, “Death Note” returns after 12 years for a special one-shot—and you can read it for free.

The 87-paged story sees God of Death Ryuk fall to Earth as he ventures out to locate a new Kira, one who yields the Death Note. If you need a crash course on the series, the Death Note is a pretty powerful tool to have in your arsenal—it’s a book that can kill anyone whose name is written on it. During Ryuk’s quest, the death god finds his path to a middle school student named Minoru Tanaka, who becomes the current bearer of the lethal book.

The latest “Death Note” also features obvious nudges to the contemporary climate, with one panel showing Donald Trump attempting to buy the Death Note for $500 billion. As Ryuk and Trump negotiate in the Oval Office, a new rule has been added to the bargain—any human who buys or sells the Death Note has to pay the price of their life. Not surprisingly, the God of Death knows a thing or two about “The Art of the Deal.”
