I have a theory that our inner tita comes out after our fifth drink.
Fine, you can act a fool and say you’re a deep house bitch. But don’t lie to me and say you don’t cry after Aegis’ “Halik” comes out of nowhere. Let’s face it, we all have that inner sad tita who emerges during a night in Pobla or a post-breakup inuman.
So to commemorate said inner tita, Spotify user poignant created a playlist for this specific vibe.
“Lasing na tita sa videoke” is the latest Spotify playlist making rounds on social media. As of writing, it has 6,518 likes and 6,522 followers. The playlist’s description reads: “katahan lang, walang iyakan.” But we all know that’s a huge lie.
In this playlist, we have 62 songs from our classic Filipino divas: Jessa Zaragoza, Carol Banawa, Jolegend Slaydangal (a.k.a. Jolina Magdangal), Bituin Escalante and of course, Aegis. Their tracks are sure karaoke classics for family reunions and outings. But do they bring out our inner sad tita? Spoiler alert: yes.
Now excuse me, I have to drink three shots of Fundador and cry to “Sayang na Sayang” by Aegis.
UV Express tunes are now a Spotify playlist
You can now stream Spotify with friends (but there’s a catch)
Scorpios, Billie Eilish and Post Malone top this year’s Spotify lists
