SB19 makes P-pop history in Billboard’s year-end chart

2020 has been kind to SB19 stans. Their latest blessing? A historic spot in the Billboard Top Social 50 Artists of 2020.

Alongside K-pop acts like BTS, EXO and Seventeen, P-pop sensations SB19 joins them as they land on the sixth spot in this year’s top 10. They’re the only Southeast Asian act to make it on this year-ender chart. The boys also join international artists Ariana Grande, Blackpink, Ateez and Billie Eilish.

SB19 has been on the Billboard Top Social 50 chart consistently this year. Of course, it’s a no-brainer that they would land a spot in the overall rankings before 2020 ends. The boys can add this to their recent feats like their debut album, for instance.

The boys shared their excitement and gratitude via social, thanking A’TIN for believing in them and hyping them up during a rather tough year for all of us. “Thank you for the recognition, @billboard,” reads their tweet. “And of course, to our beloved A’TIN, thank you for all of the unimaginable plot twists in our life. Too grateful to have you. Stay amazing, guys!”

What would 2021 hold for the boys? Hopefully, they maintain their position and keep changing everyone’s view on what P-pop’s future can look like. But so far, they’re only impressing us with every feat.
