Scorpios, Billie Eilish and Post Malone top this year’s Spotify lists

So, we’ve reached the last month of the year, folks. For most of us, this means holidays, soon-to-be-unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions, and for Spotify—the year-end review.

In the year 2019, Post Malone topped the list of most-streamed artists with over 6.5 million plays and counting. While his album “Hollywood’s Bleeding” is listed as the second most-streamed record of the year, you can thank “Sunflower” for a chunk of Post Malone’s plays. We can’t blame those in that statistic—“Into the Spiderverse” served us great visuals, stellar characters, and a killer soundtrack, so much so that we’ve deemed it the best Spider-man film.

Following the rapper is 17-year-old singer and occasional environmentalist Billie Eilish, whose album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” is listed first as the most-streamed record. She ranked second in the artist category, with perpertual earworm “bad guy” as one of this year’s most-streamed songs. Do we have the same hopes for her upcoming “experimental” album? You bet we do.

Other artists that rank high include Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Lil Nas X, as his country rap hit “Old Town Road” made its way to the race’s fifth spot.

In other Spotify related news, the music streaming app’s most active users are Scorpios, putting their “dedicated” trait to centerstage. The top mood-themed playlist is “feel good,” which we’re still playing on loop on to the next decade (hopefully).
