Last week, Globe held the first-ever Globe Independent Film Fest, aimed at pushing hungry, up-and-coming filmmaking talent. The awards night held at the Palace Pool Club last Thursday night was the culmination of weeks of fresh new short films and music videos going up against each other and earning the votes of the people.
“When we started GIFF, we really wanted to do a different type of film festival,” said Quark Henares, director of Globe Studios and the man who’s behind the entire operation. “Something that is more fun, friendly, and most importantly, inclusive. We also aimed to make it more accessible and cost effective for our audience as it is free and can be seen whenever, right on their devices.”
