The National Museum Planetarium is open to visitors once again

Museum and astronomy enthusiasts, time to get excited. The National Museum of the Philippines just announced the reopening of their National Museum Planetarium to the public.

After closing for renovations last November, The National Museum officially announced that our local Planetarium is once again opened for visitors. They made the announcement on their Facebook page earlier today, along with the weekly schedule of the planetarium. Their announcement included numerous topics that their current exhibits will tackle as well.

Expect to learn about Ethnoastronomy, how space guides Filipinos in sea navigation, and many more. Oh, and did we forget to mention? All exhibitions are free, with the exception of their planetarium shows.

Our weekend plans just got more cosmic than tropical. Cancel the trips to the mall or daydreaming on our beds, we’re (sort of) going where no man has gone before. Head on to our local planetarium on these following days:

The National Museum Planetarium is located at Dr. Jose P. Rizal Park, Padre Burgos Ave, Ermita, Manila, 1000 Metro Manila. Go to their Facebook page for more details.
