Hey STEM kids, are you into unraveling the mysteries of that thing called big data? Well, here’s your calling: The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is on the hunt for data science scholars.

As part of its Project SPARTA (Smarter Philippines through Data Analytics R&D, Training and Adoption), the Philippine science department has opened 30,000 scholarship slots, which are available for professionals, college students and senior high school students.

The project was first launched to promote necessary online education, R&D mechanisms and infrastructure to boost the local industry of data science and analytics. Alongside the Development Academy of the Philippines, the Analytics Association of the Philippines and Coursebank, DOST aims to train and graduate 30,000 learners through online learning.
