I finally found a three-step hair care routine that fits my busy schedule

Living too fast-paced is how I maximize my time, although this means compromising some things. Because no matter how hard you try, you can’t have it all–or so I thought.

One of the things I had to let go of during my overwhelmingly busy days was my hair. I used to have really long hair, but as I aged and priorities piled up, my solution was to just chop it off. I have been living with a bob for about two years now, because I found it as an easy escape to somewhat manage my hair. I am not as blessed as others: my hair tends to frizz and dry up especially during humid days. To tell you the truth, it gets tiring.

I found an easy hair care routine that doesn’t require me to spend my weekends at a salon. Instead, you can take the salon back to your home.

It was only a few weeks from now that I found an easy hair care routine that doesn’t require me to spend my weekends at a salon. Instead, you can take the salon to your home. Now, I get to chill in my own comfort and spend time with my family.

That’s when I realized that there’s nothing wrong with hustling and bustling. You don’t have to compromise too much–especially not your hair. You just have to find what fits you. Let me share with you the experience, as it only takes three steps.

Apply therapy oil

First step is to massage oil onto scalp and hair until strands end. This helps you relax your scalp, exfoliate dead skin cells, which usually become dandruff, and contributes to healthy hair growth. For this, I have been using Moringa-O² Hair, Scalp and Skin Therapy Oil.

Wrap hair in a warm towel or a shower cap while waiting to allow the oils to be absorbed into the scalp, hair follicles and roots. Let the treatment stay for at least 30 minutes, as you catch up on your favorite series.

Take a shower

When I mean shower, this includes shampoo and conditioner! While this step seems simple, be wary of what you use. Some shampoo and conditioners are actually harmful to your scalp and hair.

Products you usually see everywhere may contain chemicals that dry and damage your hair. Herbal formulas are milder because they don’t strip the natural oils out of your hair and scalp as much.

For my daily routine, I use Moringa-O² Herbal Anti-Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner for its top herbal solution consisting of malunggay, olive oil, sunflower oil and argan oil. It also has UV Sun protection!

Coat hair with serum

Lastly, top it all off with a serum. And trust me, this makes a whole lot of difference. Pour 3-4 drops of serum on your palm. Apply on your hair until strand ends to control frizz, prevent tangles and static, then smoothen and style hair.

Insider tip: coat it while your hair is semi-wet. This takes away that greasy, oily feeling. I personally use Moringa-O² Hair Relaxing Serum++ with Argan Oil, because of its light and herbal formula.

Despite [my hair’s] gradual growth, I feel ironically lighter.

Ever since I started this hair care routine, I also started growing my hair because I’m not anymore afraid of mismanaging it. Although I enjoyed the grungy bob, perhaps it’s time for some little changes. Despite the gradual growth, I feel ironically lighter. Maybe maintaining a hair care routine isn’t just good for my hair, but also my overall health.
