SHARE

Miss ’Rona ain’t sashaying away any time soon. So of course, face masks are still part of our norm. We have N95s, the not-so-eco friendly disposable masks and basic cloth masks.

Our health is always a priority but it doesn’t hurt to stay safe while letting out our inner fashion hoe.

How do we solve this? With this selection of locally made, functional AF masks that go with any quarantine ’fit we’re flexing (though, we only flex in Zoom calls now).

Here are some masks from homegrown designers and creatives we want to cop ASAP.

Proudrace’s Gachapon face masks

These face masks were deconstructed from the brand’s deadstock and sample items. They come in various graphic designs from our fave Proudrace staple pieces.

About The Masks for Masks Project: Fashion & design has always been a reflection of the times. During this uncertain year of our lives, we would like to support our front liners and also keep creativity alive and still put artistry in the forefront. More than ever, the creative industries are the most heavily impacted by this pandemic in both the short term and long run. For a limited time and quantity we will be featuring designed, non-medical grade, reusable face masks by brands and designers such as @proudrace, @raxenne, @_ha.mu_, @vina.romero and @randolfclothing. And for every purchase of facemasks from your favorite brands, we will be using our Marketplace Commission fees in donating five (5) N95 Masksto our front liners through the Faceshield Drive Plus Team. What can we say about our Best of Class alumni? They’re not out here to get basic, they’re here to get quirky. Their retaso facemasks come in three designs: egg yolk, doodletime and monster. These designs are wild enough to scare Miss ’Rona away yet keep all eyes on us as we live our WFH life.

Garapata x Number Over Number’s GaraFaceMasks

Visual artist Garapata has been infesting the art scene since 2006. However, this 2020 is all about keeping us safe so Garapata delivered his latest set of face masks depicting his iconic characters. It comes in three designs: Garapata eyes, Garapata mouth and Garapata all over.

Randolf’s Distancia Amigo Facemasks

Rep that six-feet distance lifestyle with Randolf’s pop art masks. To get technical for five seconds, these neoprene face masks are equipped with a filter pocket and exposed overlock stitches. It sports the classic, fun patterns we came to know and love from the brand. Plus, it gives social distancing a chic look.

Vanilla Arucan x Rada Collab’s Good Morning Facemasks

We all had Good Morning towels growing up, right? It’s a grooming kit and Manila hustle classic. Lucky for us Good Morning towel stans, we can rep this iconic towel with this for-anyone, for-everywhere face mask.

Problem Studios’ Houndstooth Facemask
