At the Moment takes jabs at local government in ‘City to Burn’ MV

If you haven’t heard about indie garage rock outfit At the Moment yet. It’s about time. The once four-piece, now five-piece band headed by Vince Agcaoili has gotten a fresh new line-up with Paolo Gonzales on guitar, Aje Alfonso on keys, Gene Servigon on bass, and Jao Bernardo on drums, as they work on their upcoming debut EP produced by Moonwlk’s Nick Lazaro. Originally formed in 2014, the quintet has released one single online so far: “Home.”

Now, 11 months after “Home,” the band has taken to YouTube to release their latest music video “City to Burn.” Directed by their keyboardist, the MV begins with Vince being introduced as mayoral candidate “V-Boy,”as a jingle that plays off the song comes on: “Dream the life. Feed the People. We’ve got a city to build.” (Note that “burn” is replaced by “build” in the jingle.)

V-Boy then, accompanied by his campaign staff (played by Jao and Paolo) are seen campaigning all over the city to get re-elected as mayor. And everything seems to go smoothly until they encounter anti-supporter Eugenio Galit (played by Gene), who ends up exposing the corruption behind V-Boy’s successful third re-election.
