As part of their album Favorite, Ang Bandang Shirley returns to the light with a music video release for their track “Alam Mo Ba? (Ang Gulo)” featuring Filipina actress, Elisse Joson. The JP Habac-directed video illustrates the struggles of a freelancer–last minute deadlines, fatigue, vague and unrealistic requests. This pays homage to creatives in their natural habitat, which many (including us!) find relatable. With the visuals’ sunset palette, this almost disguises itself as memory.
The band premiered their music video at 123 Block last Saturday, May 19, with live sets from the band themselves, Pure Mind Quiet Heart, and Rusty Machines. Don’t miss out, see for yourself below.
