I know, the past few weeks have been so heavy on events, and it’s such a good time to lay back and relax. However, your friends are party animals or natural-born adventurers and the fear of missing out haunts you. After all, it’s never a bad time to go out and explore. You’re at your youth, and if you’re not, learning is a never-ending game. Here are some events this weekend that you wouldn’t want to miss:

In or Out: Wala Namang Mali

Since June is pride month, this spoken-word and live music show is a fundraising event for the upcoming Metro Manila Pride March this June 30, 2018. With White Wall Poetry hosting the event, you can expect a spine-thrilling good performances which can get pretty political. Be socially aware, while having fun. Check more of the event here.

Happening 6pm tomorrow at Artinformal, this exhibit is curated by Erwin Romulo and Neil Daza. With the theme of loss, expect evocative images from a series of photographer. To give you a better idea, check out this excerpt from the official Facebook event page: “Wala. Pero meron talaga. NILalaman ng pagtatanghal na ito ang ilang mga eksena ng kawalan―ng malay, ng katinuan, ng bait, ng karapatan, ng buhay.”

 

Up Front: Conversations on Conservation with Ar. Jeffrey Cobilla

In a time of challenges on preserving heritage, this talk educates you on social responsibility. The speaker Architect Jeffrey Cobilla of the Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation will “share the guiding principles behind the escuela’s approach to restoring several heritage churches in the country.” The event is happening at Metropolitan Museum of Manila from 1:30 PM – 3 PM. Check for more info here. Lecture fee inclusive of museum admission fee is at Php 150.00, and Php 120.00 for senior citizens and students. Don’t forget your IDs.
