Grab’s new Bus feature will save South peeps from long lines

Wondering what the mysterious new bus icon on your Grab app is about? Well, the secret’s out and it’s good news for Southerners.

To answer your initial question: No, you can’t book an entire bus to bring you from home to work. Instead, Grab’s new bus option allows commuters to book their P2P tickets in advance to get a sure seat. Not a bad alternative.

Right now, it’s still under beta testing and is catering two trips: one from Circuit Lane to Nuvali and another from Circuit Lane to South Mall. If you’re a regular Makati to Sta. Rosa commuter like me, you’d know that the lines get longer every single day. No more standing in line for 40 minutes during rush hour? Sounds like a good deal to me.

As of writing, only 25 seats are available for reservation through the app. You’ll also have to load up your GrabPay wallet or pay via credit or debit card, since cash payments aren’t available for GrabBus just yet.

If you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about because you don’t have the bus icon, you can register to activate the feature in-app. If you already have the feature, then go ahead and enjoy your leisurely walk to the bus terminal.
