Heads up, film kids! Cinemalaya just announced an open call for short films

Time to take that script out of your head, prep those casting call pubs, and maybe start a GoFundMe page. Cinemalaya is opening its cinema doors to short film entries all over the country for.

Posted Dec. 15, one of the most awaited film festivals of the country is calling for entries for their Main Competition Short Feature category next year. Along with your (20-minute or less) short film in .MP4 format, you also have to submit an accomplished application form, a brief synopsis in English, and a resume and two pieces of 2×2 photos of the filmmaker(s).

Cinemalaya will be choosing the 10 best entries. They will be screened from Aug. 7 to Aug. 16, 2020 during the annual film festival in the Cultural Center of the Philippines and in selected malls. The best short feature will bag P150,000 (along with an iconic Balanghai trophy, of course.
