Studio Ghibli wants you to work with them on a new film

Here’s good news and a chance of a lifetime for Filipino animators: Studio Ghibli is hiring! The studio behind My Neighbor Totoro is looking for digital painters.

So, what do you need to enter Hayao Migazaki’s dreamy world? First of all, interested applicants should be at least 20, proficient in Japanese, and highly skilled in 2D animation (the post lists RETAS, OpenToonz, and Photoshop as software requirements). If you’re game for all that, then you might be the one they’re looking for.

The job post estimated that to be at least a year and a half. Applicants, however, must relocate to Japan by May 31 to continue with the application process.
