All 6 seasons of ‘Community’ are coming to Netflix. Can we get a movie, too?

The Dan Harmon comedy series is finally coming to Netflix globally. Pop pop, people.

A tweet from Netflix’s comedy Twitter account Netflix Is  A Joke has confirmed that “Community” will come to Netflix on Apr. 1 (or Mar. 32, as Dean Pelton has taught us). If you’re squinting your eyes suspiciously at the April Fools Day date, no worries—NIAJ assured us they aren’t messing around.

The six-season comedy series by “Rick and Morty” creator Dan Harmon follows a group of Greendale Community College misfits who get into all sorts of cinematic shenanigans. From school-wide paintball fights a la “Good Fellas” to “Lord of the Rings” level D&D matches, “Community” is a pop culture fanatic’s dream sitcom—and a show way ahead of its time.

The cast features Joel McHale, Allison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, Jim Rash, Chevy Chase and a very young Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino. The Russo brothers of “Avengers” fame are also executive producers and frequent episode directors of the show.

If you’re a fan of the show, you’d know that “Community” had a rocky run behind the scenes. Despite all the drama, fans wanted to keep the show alive by campaigning the hashtag #SixSeasonsAndAMovie. According to Abed, that’s the measurement of success for a show franchise. Maybe now, ten years after its pilot, we’ll finally get that film courtesy of Netflix? Our fingers are crossed.

Have fun spotting all the easter eggs and references in “Community” this April Fool’s Day, folks. While we wait, enjoy this iconic Spanish rap courtesy of Troy and Abed (in the morning!).

Still from “Community”
