Hang out with your friends at CCP’s free outdoor movie screenings (again)

If you still have zero pre-holiday hangout ideas, here’s one: What about an outdoor movie screening?

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is relaunching its hybrid cinema format, a.k.a. “Cinema Under the Stars,” this Dec. 17 and 18. Expect an outdoor movie night where you can chill with friends to cap off your week. And the screenings are free.

The makeshift theater will feature various independent films from Cinemalaya, Gawad Alternatibo, and the CCP Collection, such as “Aliens Ata” by Glenn Barit, “Ang Liwanag ng Bakunawa” by Alvin Gasga and Elisha Domingo, “Mga Sisiw sa Kagubatan” by Vahn Leinard Pascual, “Si Oddie” by Maria Kydylee Torato, “See you, George!” by Mark Moneda, and more. You can peep the full movie schedule below:

Bikers, joggers, and walkers are also welcome in the outdoor cinema. Planning a movie date with your gang? “Cinema Under the Stars” will start at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Dec. 18.
