Make a DIY McMuffin for breakfast with this recipe from McDonald’s

Missing the comforts of fast food? Get a taste of normalcy with a Sausage and Egg McMuffin from your own kitchen.

The recipe is courtesy of McDonald’s UK, who posted an infographic on their social media last Apr. 4.

You’ll need a pair of English muffins, 75 grams of sausage meat, an egg and a slice of American cheese. Season your meat with a little salt, shape it into a ball then flatten it into a patty. Fry your patty for six to seven minutes on each side. Then, make your sunny side egg. Finally, toast your muffins to a golden brown color, assemble your sandwich and voila. Breakfast is served.

If you’re feeling creative, you can modify the recipe to make the McMuffin of your dreams. Make it a triple decker, add more meat, sprinkle some hot sauce—the possibilities are endless. Well, unless you don’t have it in your kitchen.

Enjoy your DIY McDonald’s meals, folks.
