A24 enters the multiverse with Michelle Yeoh in ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’

Is everyone in the multiverse? Who’s left? Wait a sec, am I in the multiverse? Some theorists would agree, but the film industry seems to agree even harder. While we’re dodging “Spider-Man: No Way Home” spoilers, A24 is entering the multiverse with a film of its own: “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” (Which is, IMO, the multiverse in a nutshell.)

The independent studio behind “Midsommar,” “Hereditary,” and recently, that “Lamb” movie, is now dabbling into Hollywood’s fascination with the multiverse theory for its new film. Led by acting vet Michelle Yeoh as Mrs. Wang, the trailer sees her character in a seemingly mundane day until she’s pushed into a universe-hopping sci-fi run.

The trailer gives a peek into the rules of this multiverse, with Mrs. Evelyn Wang able to tap into her skills across infinite dimensions. The long, long list of Mrs. Wang AU versions includes (but are not limited to) martial arts Mrs. Wang, opera singer Mrs. Wang, master chef Mrs. Wang, and 2D Mrs. Wang.

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” is directed by “Swiss Army Man’s” Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. Joining Michelle Yeoh in her multiverse-hopping adventure are Jamie Lee Curtis, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, Harry Shum Jr., and Jenny Slate.

The film will show in theaters abroad on March 25, 2022. We’re crossing our fingers for a local release, but while we wait, here’s the trailer below.
