An anime version of ‘The Last of Us’ exists

Sure, Ellie from “The Last of Us” has the power of God by her side with her “Ama Namin”-guitar playing prowess. But does she have anime? Thanks to a certain fan edit, yes, apparently so.

Illustrator Caro Olivieira’s artworks recently resurfaced over on the interwebs, depicting “The Last of Us” key cut scenes in 2D anime style. Their creations feature several characters in the post-apocalyptic video game franchise, including Ellie and her father figure/game protagonist Joel.

Truth be told, these have us longing for an anime adaptation. A live-action one is set to premiere in HBO—with “The Mandalorian’s” Pedro Pascal, no less—but if “The Witcher” can get its full-on weebiness out, then why can’t some zombies, am I right?
